Man has been a maker throughout evolution. The
itch to explore and to make difficult tasks easy lead him to make, Build and create
enormous things, which we are taking for granted today.
After
getting into Engineering, Few dialogues am constantly been hearing are
"I
want to build something"
"That fellow is building something, Even
I want to build, but don't know where to start"
"Starting
is ok, but don't know anything regarding it"
"What if it doesn't work"
"I
want to make a project but first I will
study about it, then will start building "
Among many
I heard, few built things and rest are uttering the same dialogue till now
after being in Engineering for four years.
I was just wondering among those who got in to building and tinkering with things including me, what made us to start off with it, and what stopped others from getting in to it or made them to just think about it and not do anything.

Lack of
knowledge? Lack of Skils? Lack of tool set? etc etc bla bla bla?
I think it
is "The Fear of Failure"
Those who
started off were fine with not knowing anything because not knowing anything
opens the door to start exploring and learning new things.
They were open to failures
because failure teach a lot of things practically than theory.
At the end
they just started, Sometimes planning is good but over planning kills the
interest many a times.
So what it
takes to make is nothing but just not waiting for any right time and to wake up
and just start off with the things which we love to make. Me being an
Engineering Student writing this with Engineering perspective, but
this applies to every field, hobby or anything.
So kick
the maker in you and start building things because the itch was always been
there throughout evolution but ignition was lacking which only you can provide to yourselves.
